Established in 1914 by Fred and Emma Halman, who grew vegetables and flowers around the year, selling their crops in Manchester Smithfield Market.
Previously ran by Les and Mavis, the business is now run by Stuart and wife Gill, utilising 5 acres of glasshouses on a site of 8 acres.

Bedding Plants
We offer an extensive range of high-quality bedding and basket plants all-year round in a selection of sizes.
Christmas Products
Our holly wreaths are traditionally made from fresh cut, locally sourced holly, with a backing of leylandii on a mossed frame. Holly pots and posy pads are also available.

Who We Supply To
Garden Centres
We provide reliable and regular delivery service to garden centres all around the UK. All products arrive safely with bar-coded labelling ready to be sold.
Contract Grown Orders
We work closely with many Local Authorities and Landscaping companies, growing plants to the specific requirements of the customer. Plant material is supplied in recyclable plastic trays which the client can return to us.

Our Growing Processes
Working with specialist horticultural engineers, we have designed and installed ideal methods for optimum output from our transplant machinery.
Our Suppliers
Ball Colegrave, Young Plants Ltd, Dummen Orange and Rudy Raes bloemzaden n.v. are just some of the market leaders with whom we have close working relationships.

Ordering Information
Delivery
Reliable and regular delivery service within the North West of England and North Wales, generally by our own transport. We deliver nationally on a weekly basis.
Delivery can be made to named locations on dates and times as required. For local authority customers plants can be collated on a bed by bed or site basis.
Customers are also welcome to visit the nursery to collect items.
Terms & Conditions
Wholesale only. Below is our full Terms & Conditions of Trade
1. Placing an order implies acceptance of all terms below.
2. All plants mentioned are subject to crop and being unsold on receipt of order.
3. All goods are subject to VAT where applicable.
4. Payment is normally due on collection or delivery. On approved accounts payment is due on the 20th of the month, following month of delivery.
5. Every effort will be made to ensure plants are of the highest quality, we cannot accept any liability for any defect or disease which subsequently becomes apparent. In any event our liability is limited to the replacement of plants, or at our option a refund of the price paid, all other claims including claims for consequential loss are hereby excluded.
6. We reserve the right to change any prices without prior notice.
