Flower of the Month

As the saying goes, spring has sprung and our patio pots are bursting into flower!!

This month, the spotlight is on Pericallis – a fantastic early-season plant that produces masses of cheerful, daisy-like blooms in vibrant shades of blue, purple and pink.

Perfect for brightening up patios, doorsteps, and garden spaces as the season gets underway.

From Our Nursery

As spring temperatures rise, plants start moving quickly from our nursery to garden centres.

Keeping benches fresh and full at this time of year really helps capture the excitement and encourages customers to start planting.

We’re also hearing from many of our customers that compost sales are picking up – always a good sign that people are getting back out into their gardens and laying the groundwork for what we all hope will be a beautiful summer ahead. 💛

Old Hobbies, New Fans

What used to be labelled a “grandma hobby” is now one of Gen Z’s favourite ways to unwind, and gardening is right at the heart of it. 🌱

A recent article reported a trend in younger people embracing slower, hands-on activities as a break from constant screen time.

Gardening in particular offers a simple way to relax, spend time outdoors and enjoy the satisfaction of growing something yourself.

For garden centres, it’s a great reminder that the next generation of plant lovers is already discovering the joy of getting their hands dirty.
